Catching Up :)

We have had a BUSY couple of days!  But MAN - it's been fun!  We had a great end to our first week at La Roca - the kids have 100% stolen our hearts.  They are so excited when we get to school everyday - it's just so amazing to see their faces light up as they run toward us!

Here are some pictures from the end of the week at La Roca.

Boys will be boys :)

Remember Gabriella?  Instead of sweeping - Daniel caught her washing dishes this time!
She melts our heart every single day!

Daniel & Sarai - isn't she beautiful??

She's a special girl - the only one that got a heart on her face :)
Daniel picks favorites! hahahah!

Look at that precious smile!

Me with my PreK friends!
We have been counting down to this weekend since we arrived in Honduras!  There was a huge concert yesterday through YFC and we got to see all of our friends from the YFC Camp!  We were SO happy to see them - it was awesome being able to fellowship again.  We had a great day full of laughs as we caught up ... and then the concert was amazing!   Full of great music, dancing, and an awesome worship experience.  My favorite thing to do here in Honduras is sing worship songs in English while the crowd is singing in Spanish!  It's amazing to know that we are singing the same words to the same Savior - and it makes me cry every time!

Here are some pictures from the concert :)

Before the concert :)

Invitation after the concert - so amazing!

Final song after invitation - We went up on stage ... I love these guys :)

Dancing on stage with the YFC crew :)

We were happy girls - SO glad to see each other again!  Love you sweet Brea!

Daniel and Jose - this guy is amazing.

Daniel and I  call him "hijo" which means son - he has a very amazing testimony ... has really been through so much and doesn't have a family. He has nothing - he rents one room in a house.  He wants us to come see his "place" - and said to let him know when we are coming so that he can buy a soda for us to have while we are there.  His spirit is incredible - to have been through so much and have nothing - yet still want to give everything and his love to us!  So we have taken him in here ... and he has really loved every minute.  Everytime we get together with him - he gives us hug after hug.  His eyes light up when he is goofing around with Daniel - and he asks me to teach him different words in English every day.  He really wants to come to the states and learn English with us :)

He wore a different shirt to the concert and changed into his black YFC shirt.  After the concert, he brought me his tshirt from home and told me that it was a gift from him to me.  He brought Daniel a tshirt from home on Sunday to church! His heart is amazing.  We are so excited to have our love and tshirts from Jose :)

YAY :)

This morning, we went to La Roca with all of our friends from San Pedro Sula.  It was so fun to be able to be in church together!  We were singing the Revelation Song (again - us in English and everyone in Spanish) and I just felt so overwhelmed with thankfulness for what the Lord has done for us over the past 4 weeks.  We have been so blessed by this country and the people here - there is no way to describe in words what we have experienced.  We want to pack everyone up from home and bring them here to see it for themselves!

Two favorite little guys - Dennis and Arturo (Johnny) :)

Reading Daniel's Bilingual Bible - melts my heart

Praying for this 2month old

Mauricio preaching :)

Daniel found a visitor after service - a praying mantis :)

This week, I will be teaching English to all of the kids (not just PreK/K) and Daniel will be doing an awesome project.  Remember the guy that came to church last week in his wheelchair?  Well ... Daniel is going to start on building him a ramp to access his home - and hopefully start the path this week for him to wheel himself to church!  We are so excited - this is such an awesome project ...  we can't wait to share pictures with you!

This morning, we will serve the first breakfast at the school.  We are going to measure and weigh the kids - and then again in 3 months to see how much they have grown from eating breakfast 5 days a week!  We are so thankful that we get to be part of this exciting moment for La Roca.

More Pictures to come soon :)
