Eye exams at La Roca & Embassy Tour :)

Today we had eye exams for the kiddos and families at La Roca!  It was such a fun morning ... the kids were very excited to get to have their eyes tested.  We had a group of students come with the eye doctor ... they were great with the kids!  Here are some of our favorite shots from the morning :)

Waiting to begin our morning

Being so patient :)

Last part of the eye exam!

Caught them play fighting again :)

Cracking up!

She just loves him - it's so cute :)

Gringa & Gringo :)

Not everyone was so excited about the whole eye exam thing - little Sarai was not a happy camper!  You can see her progressively getting more and more upset!

Standing outside of the door - refusing to go in
so I had to go get Jonny (her brother) :)

Jonny trying to talk her into it

Finally got her to go inside

Showing her that it was just a light!

No words needed :)

Jonny showing her that it could be like a game :)

She finally did it - after I bribed her with candy :)

Here she is with her paper and candy!  YAY :)
It was a great morning at La Roca - we feel so grateful to be able to be a part in providing this service to the La Roca families.  What a blessing for them -- but also for us!

After our morning at La Roca, we went to the US Embassy and had a personal tour with Colonel Bob Swisher.  We have been blessed to get to know him & his sweet wife, Brenda, during the last few weeks here in Tegucigalpa.  We had a great afternoon touring the Embassy - full of fun stories and laughs.  Here is the only picture that we were allowed to take - so enjoy :)

As for tonight, we are off to our official "farewell" party with all of our friends here in Tegucigalpa!  Pictures to come soon - probably with some tears along the way!  It's going to be so hard to say "see ya later!" :(
