What a MIGHTY God we serve!

We have seen God move in the two last weeks more than EVER!

We just never know the plans of our Father.  But we CAN trust that they are ALWAYS good.

Two weeks ago, we spent some time at Laura's parents in VA.  While visiting, we received pictures from Mauricio (YFC National Director in Honduras).  He shared the awesome news with us that the work had officially begun on our home at the camp!

We left VA and traveled to Spartanburg to speak at Eastside Baptist church that Sunday.  While there, we received multiple gifts in a love offering basket at our information table.  We were able to reconnect with familiar faces & meet new friends there that have a heart for missions.  It was truly an encouraging and uplifting weekend for us!

We returned home from the upstate on Monday. Tuesday morning, Daniel went to the store & ran into a pastor from a local church in our town.  We had shared our hearts with him a few months back & talked about doing a schools supply drive for the school in La Entrada that we partner with.  When seeing Daniel at the store, he shared that he had been meaning to contact us because they had collected school & hygiene supplies for Honduras and they were ready for us to deliver them whenever we got the opportunity.

Daniel called me and said, "Well now I HAVE to find a way to get there with these supplies & I can help with the house!"  It seemed like a stretch to find a reason to get there! :)

So, Daniel chatted with Mauricio that night to see what he had planned in the coming week.  Mauricio shared that a team of men from VA were arriving on Saturday to help build our home!  That was so exciting for us ... and only motivated Daniel more to be a part of it.

So, we booked his ticket.  After the fees & taxes, Daniel's plane ticket was TO THE DOLLAR of what was collected in our love offering from Eastside Baptist Church on Sunday.

TO THE DOLLAR.  Out of the response of obedient hearts that felt the desire to give ... Just amazing!

On Wednesday, we went to our church & received a check.  There were a few gifts that came in for our family at the church the week before.  The total of those gifts was TO THE DOLLAR of what Daniel needed for 5 days at the camp for his daily cost of living expense.

TO THE DOLLAR!

Thursday came & we knew that God was definitely lining up this trip for him.  We went by the church to get the supplies that had been collected & shared the story with the pastor there.  He went on to tell us that while they were shopping for the school supplies, the person in front of them in line offered to purchase the school supplies!  A stranger offered to buy supplies for our REACH kids ... not knowing that they would play a part in confirming God's plan for this trip!

We got home, packed the supplies into a military duffle bag, and hoped that they would weigh under 50 lbs so that we didn't have to pay a fee.  The bag was 50 pounds ON THE DOT!

We truly have been left speechless.  It is CLEAR that the Lord provided each of these things to set this trip in motion!

Daniel's week at the camp was full of encouragement & great fellowship.  He sent pictures throughout the week of the process they were making on the house.  I was so excited to see our dream coming alive ... and the joy in everyone's faces!

Here are some pictures of the progress they made throughout the week!

This trip was the perfect wave of encouragement for both of us.  We have waited almost 5 years to see this dream become reality for our family & this has made it feel SO real!

Thank you to everyone that prayed & encouraged me throughout the week that Daniel was gone.  It was a tough week on this end ... Josie suffered a severe ear infection, had a rough time adjusting to the time change, and really missed her daddy!  But we survived & we are SO happy to have him back home.

Thank you to everyone that helped with the progress on the apartment last week.  We are just in awe of how The Lord brings people together to accomplish His plans & humbled that we get to be a part of something that He is making possible!

As soon as we get more pictures of the progress being made on the apartment, we will share them.  This is happening ... and we could not be more excited & thankful!

Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming.  Do you see it?  Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.
