Picture Dump :)

I am going to post some random pictures from the last 3 weeks of our journey here in Honduras.   There are pictures that I still want you to see – so I figured a picture “dump” would be great! J
This was at the YFC Camp – the first day of VBS … we were ready to go pick up the kids from the nearby village. It had rained really hard the night before. When we went to pull out, the bus was stuck down in the ruts from the rain! We hooked two SUVs up to the front of the bus and pushed it while they pulled. It was something that could have stopped our day but we worked together and won! J

This is sweet Kati! Her family lives on the YFC Camp grounds and her daddy is the groundskeeper. She is one of 5 kids …she could not get enough of us while we were there. She had the sweetest little giggle … I miss her so much!

This is Kati with her two brothers, Lamon & Carlos. They were the sweetest kids! They had an older brother named Sammy and a baby sister named Suni. Lamon & Carlos are learning English at school so they helped us with Spanish and we helped them with English. It was so fun! I taught them that “Hola Amigo!” is“Hey Buddy!” in English – so all week they would said “Hey Buddy” (in the sweetest Spanish accent) when they saw me! J

This was from the bus on one of our travel days …. A palm tree farm!  It was so neat to see this on the side of a mountain.

More beautiful Honduran scenery from our bus window!

Daniel worked all day last Tuesday on the intern/missions vehicle.  It is a 1987 Mitsubishi Montero.  He and Rick Barbas worked together to put in a new head gasket.  He was in his element – and they made a great new friend in the neighborhood mechanic, Marlon.  J

This was at a local park on the mountain.  We went up here Saturday morning before hosting VBS.  The park overlooks the entire city - and there is a huge statue of Jesus that overlooks the city up there.  We were able to take time to pray over the city while up at the overlook.  It is really overhwleming to see the houses everywhere - and imagine the hurt and pain that fills this city.
It was amazing - here are a few of our favorite pictures from the park there.
Amazing view of Tegucigalpa

Absolutely beautiful :)

That is it for today :)  I hope that you have enjoyed catching up on some of our journey.  We can't believe that we are 3 weeks into this adventure - before you know it we will be heading home!  That will definitely be a bittersweet moment ... we don't want to even think about leaving.  But - we are starting to really miss our puppies ...:)  Love you all and can't wait to get a HUG from each one of you!
